Meet Joel Handorff, Hucklefaery Ken (Sister Lotti Da), Bobby Watlington, Ande Whyland & Alex Wolkowicz. They are 5 nyc artists creating in a spectrum of media. Five artists to inspire you during our nation’s semiquincentennial solstice weekend, and ignite Independence revelry as we set upon the Sirius Dog days of summer!

At 5PM we begin with unseen ARTURO VEGA 2006 INTERVIEW footage at his Loft by Filmmaker & Musician PAT BYRNE, then Artist ETHAN MINSKER Shares Amazing Clips Of ARTURO, including the ANTAGONIST MOVEMENT SHOW in BERLIN, the ART Collection in ARTY’s Loft and a brief talk on working with him.
At 6:20pm the SCREAMIN’ REBEL ANGELS play their punk rockabilly covers and original songs!

Authors at 5:55 with DEBORAH BAKER-GHOSH & BOB HOLMAN, followed by GORDON BALL, BILL MORGAN, and BOB ROSENTHAL! Discussions + insights from five stellar friends of Allen’s .
With slideshows, and photographs by Gordon Ball, Allen and more. Illustrations by Harsho Mohan Chattoraj (one seen here) ephemera from the Ginsberg Estate, rare early poetry editions from Howl’s library archive on display + new book by Gordon Ball available too. Reception follows til 8:30pm.
Our celebration of Allen at 100 is presented with Peter Hale and The Ginsberg Estate. Free, - so come early for a seat!

Tonite at 7pm , we premiere A Certain Ratio ‘Live at Hurrah’ September 12, 1980 - a 45 minute work filmed by Merrill Aldighieri with Martin Moscrop. free. Doors 6pm, film at 7pm. The director will be give a brief introduction! Wallflowers, a silent wall projection and looped animation made to accompany the film plays from 6 to 7pm. Our current exhibition at Howl! Happening - Arturo Vega ‘the merch master’ is on view tonight and Wednesday to Sunday from 12 to 6pm through June 14.

Howl! Happening : An Arturo Vega Project, Presents : A Certain Ratio - Live at Hurrah, Sept.12 1980 by Merrill Aldighieri, a 45 minute live club film including discussions with band member Martin Moscrop.
Doors 6pm. Video plays at 7pm on our big screen. Merrill will be here to introduce it. Wallflowers her companion silent wall animation loop will play from 6 to 7pm.

Sunday May 3, is the final day of our Richard Hambleton show. All the artworks in the Hambleton Blood & Glitter exhibition are from the collection of his buddy, Howl! godfather Arturo Vega.

Richard Hambleton Blood & Glitter exhibition now closes Sunday May 3rd at Howl! 250 Bowery, 2nd Floor. Hours: Wednesday to Sunday, 12 to 6.
