About Howl Education

Howl Arts, Inc’s Education Department preserves the cultural and artistic history of the East Village and Lower East side by providing youth and adult audiences with free hands-on art education. Established and emerging artists from the Lower East Side community collaborate with Howl Education to facilitate workshops and programs in a variety of artistic mediums.

The satisfaction of creating individual artistic works in community with others, experimenting with new materials and mentorship from seasoned artists are the hallmark of Howl’s education programs. Each program is designed to be accessible to participants regardless of previous experience. Howl provides adult art education through the Vega Arts Workshop series and serves high-school-aged students through its teen arts program, Howl High.
