Howl! Happening is pleased to present the Catalyst Quartet and famed drag queen spitfire Pixie Aventura for a transformative evening and experience the music of Bach like you’ve never heard it before.

“When we set out to innovate Bach’s iconic Goldberg Variations by arranging it for string quartet, we were faced with limitless possibilities,” say Jessie Montgomery. “One of the amazing aspects of the piece is how Bach transforms a single bass line into almost two hours of music.” Taking the concept of transformation one step further the Catalyst Quartet explores the world of drag with a side by side performance and behind the scenes drag transformation.

Catalyst Quartet members are Jessie Montgomery, Karla Donehew Perez, Paul Laraia, and Karlos Rodriguez.
