People’s Poetry Gathering Presents

Masquerade of Metaphors:
Embody Your Favorite Poem
A poetry costume party hosted by The Illustrious Pearl

Come dressed as your favorite poem or poet – be as literal or figurative or alliterative as you’d like. There will also be a dedicated Poetry Pageant, where you can sashay your simile and walk your poetic attire. Pageant participants recite a short poem or poem excerpt (1 min or less) with their walk. You are welcome to recite it yourself or ask one of our 3 Muses on hand to recite on your behalf. If you want to walk in the Pageant, sign up when you register. All are welcome! Refreshments will be served! Costumes HIGHLY encouraged.
